Environmental Art That Intervenes
Make a Difference Through Art
Art can do more than inspire. It can intervene.
I’m an environmental artist creating abstract paintings on leather made from invasive lionfish, Burmese python, and invasive carp. Each piece begins with conservation-linked material sourced through invasive species removal, turning ecological intervention into lasting beauty you get to return to every day.
These works are made as museum-quality objects with real ecological impact. The impact is embedded in the material itself. Understanding the story is optional. You can simply choose the work for its beauty, and let that be enough.
Art as Action
Imagine a painting on your wall. Someone pauses. They lean in. They feel something shift.
And if you ever choose to tell its story, you can.
This work was painted on leather from invasive lionfish removed from coral reefs. Lionfish consume the junior native reef fish that keep algae in check. When those fish disappear, reefs can suffocate. Removal matters, and this artwork begins there, in the material itself.
One artwork. A ripple effect of life supported. A visual record of impact.
Creation with Purpose
I make these paintings to hold two truths at once: refinement and responsibility.
Each piece is crafted to deliver aesthetic beauty and ecological function. The work begins with restoration-linked material, helping to rebalance ecosystems, protect native wildlife, and support habitat recovery.
These works are not symbols of change. They are a record of it.
